Employer involvement has been central to the development of the Diploma qualifications in Plymouth. Ken Farnham (Managing Director of a local building company) believes that it will be ‘a bonus for employers to have the knowledge that students will have had the benefit of a real vocational education in years available from year 10'.

Plymouth Chamber of Commerce is fully behind the development of the Diploma qualifications as a way of addressing essential skill shortages in the city.
